YOUR IDENTITY IN CHRIST

1. You are a New Creation : You are no longer a sinner because you have confessed all your sins, repented, proclaimed Yeshua as your Lord and Saviour. You have been baptized i.e. you have died with Him and raised again, washed in His blood and anointed with His Spirit, therefore now you are a completely new creation. (1 John 5:18; 1:7-9; Rom.10:9,10,13; 6:3-4; 1 Cor. 6:11; 2 Cor. 5:17)

2. You are Child of God : If you are in right relationship with the Father, then His glory will spill over from your personal life, into your family, marriage, your job and other relationships and you will reflect His glory on earth. (John 1:12; Rom. 8:14,19; Ps. 82:6)

3. You are a friend of Yeshua : You are now a friend of Yeshua and if you really love Him then you will gladly obey all His commandments. As a faithful friend He has promised to give you whatever you ask provided it glorifies God. (John 15:13-15; 14:13-14, 23-24)

4. You are a Fellow Worker with Yeshua : Some plant the seeds while others water it but it is God who gives the increase. If we sow sparingly we will reap sparingly but if we sow bountifully, we will reap a large harvest of souls; thirtyfold, sixtyfold and even hundredfold harvest. (1Cor. 3:9; 2Cor. 6:1; 9:6; Mark 4:8)

5. You are a disciple of Yeshua : You have been commanded to heal the sick, expel the demons, raise the dead and preach the kingdom of God. A disciple maker knows that he has to keep making disciples who also make disciples, so as to reach the ends of the earth. (Math.10:7-8; John 15:8; 8:31; 14:12; Isa. 60:22)

6. You are an Ambassador : An ambassador does not work in his own nation. You are made a new creation and sent to represent the King among Gentile nations. Your mission is to reconcile those lost nations, to Christ the King. The King supplies all the needs of His ambassadors. (2.Cor. 5:17-21; Mat 6:33)

7. You are Prophet of Yeshua : All believers are members of a prophetic church. They receive (Rhema) revelations and prophesy edification (growth), exhort (teach) and speak comfort in the church. (1Cor.14:3, 26, 29-31)

8. You are an Apostle : You are not a member of an ‘attractional church’ but a ‘sent one’ from a ‘missional church’. Christ in you is the only hope of glory of the lost because the mystery has been revealed to you that they must be delivered from darkness into His marvelous light and become inheritors of His kingdom. (Eph.3:5; Col.1:20,27)

9. You are a Priest of Yeshua : “Therefore your lips should preserve knowledge (Logos) and people should seek instruction from you, for you are the messenger of the Lord.” OT priest had only one function-offer sacrifice. As an NT priest you should daily offer gentiles as living sacrifice to exalt His name from sunrise to sunset. (Malachi 2:7; 1:11; Rom. 15:16)

10. You are a king: A king has a kingdom. Yeshua is the King of kings. You are a king because the word of God says so. You begin to reign on earth when you demolish strongholds of race, caste, class and gender divide and enforce the rule of justice, peace, equality, love and abundant life. (Rev.5:10; Psalm 115:16; Amos 5:24)
