PRAY, PROCLAIM & POSSESS

THE NATION

1. The Dominion Mandate : God commanded us to “subdue the earth and have dominion over it”. He will not violate that decree. We only need to, “ask Him to give us nations for an inheritance and the ends of the earth for our possession”. That is why God is looking for interventional intercessors.(Gen. 1:26-28; Psalm 2:8; Acts 1:8; Josh. 1:6; Eze. 22:30; Isa. 59:16; Jer. 5:1)

2. Assess the Situation : The land is cursed by disobedience to God resulting in murder, demon worship, sexual sins, dysfunctional families and other sins rampant in politics, culture and religion. Our cities and nations have become a dwelling place of demons. (Gen. 3:17, 4:10; Isa. 2:8,18,20; Lev. 18:25-28; Mal. 4:6; 1 Cor. 10:19-20; Rev. 18:2)

3. Build rigorous, biblical, theological, and anthropological foundation so as to avoid tension between syncretism and contextualiztion for ministering in animistic contexts such as New Age mysticism, occultism, African voodooism, Chinese dragon and ancestor veneration, or Japanese Shintoism, beliefs which are widespread even today.

4. Analyze the Problem : Curses cannot be broken and land cannot be healed without informed intercessors who rebuke invisible rulers and intervene in the affairs of men. (Isa.59:12-16;Eze. 22:24-30; Dan.4:17)

5. Intervene with focused Prayer : We too often pray ‘Thy kingdom come...’ but rarely focus on prayers, supplications, intercession and thanksgiving on local or national issues, nor do we pray specifically for our rulers  as we have been commanded. Prayer walks can transform lives, change circumstances, help possess the land and alter the course of history and win the world for Christ. (Acts 9:15; 1 Tim. 2:1-4; Jer. 29:7; Joshua 18:3)

6. Apply God’s Solution : “If My people will fast and pray, seek My will and repent, then I will forgive their sins and heal their nation.” The redemption of our nation depends entirely on our persistent prayers. (2 Chron. 7:14)

7. God’s Provision : Because “the earth is mine”, the righteous shall inherit the land and forever reign on earth as His priests and kings. (Isa. 60:21; Exo. 19:5; Rev. 5:10)

8. Our Authority : Bind the evil rulers, the ‘strongman’ with fetters and chains. The dominion cannot be possessed without demolishing the demons. (Psa.149:5-9; Matt. 12:28-29; Luke 10:17-19; Mk. 16:17)

9. Teach God’s Commands to complacent women and their daughters that they diligently pray until there are fountains of water, abundance of food, joy, peace, justice, security and restoration of the creation through the outpouring of the Spirit. (Isa. 32:2, 9-18)

10. God Has Appointed You a watchman and chosen you to pray for the nations, without ceasing. You are not to give Him rest. (Isa. 62:6-7; Mk. 11:17; 1 Thes. 5:17)

11. Obey Yeshua : While it is good to find Yeshua, it is even better to share Him with others because less than that is not the whole counsel of God. His promise - if two believers agree about anything, including changing the world into a righteous kingdom, then God will do it, according to the measure of their faith. Intercession can transform an ordinary follower into a world changer. (Matt 18:18-20; Rom. 12:3; Acts 20:27; 1 Cor. 15:24)
