प्रार्थना विषय: शहर की योजना बनाने

Subject: Strategic Prayer for the City

ये बाते सुनते ही (यरूशलेम शहर के बारे में) मैं बैठ कर रोने लगा, और कितने दिन तक विलाप करता और स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर के सम्मुख उपवास करता और प्रार्थना करता रहा। (नहेम्याह 1ः 4)

नहेम्याह एक विधर्मी राजा का प्याला पिलाने वाला दास था। यद्यपि वह बहुत दूर बाबुल (इराक) में था परन्तु उसे अपने शहर यरूशलेम के प्रति भारी बोझ था। जब उसने अपने शहर की दुर्दशा को सुना, वह रोया और तीन महिने तक उपवास और प्रार्थना किया। तब राजा ने उसे यरूशलेम का राज्यपाल नियुक्त किया और जो कुछ सुविधा उसने मांगी उसे दी गई।

नहेम्याह ने गुप्त में रात के समय शहर का सर्वेक्षण किया, और सारी जानकारी को एकत्र करके अपनी रणनीति बनाया। उसने शहर के सब प्राचीनों को एकत्र किया और उन्हें अपने घर के सामने की दीवाल की मरम्मत का दायित्व सौंपा। अपने ही लोंगो से सताव के बावज़ूद उसने यरूशलेम की सात किलोमिटर दीवाल को 52 दिनों में, पूरा किया। (नहेम्याह 6ः 15)

नहेम्याह से हम सीखते हैं कि सबसे प्रथम हर एक विश्वासी को अपने शहर का बोझ होना चाहिये। यदि हमें अपने शहर की कोई चिन्ता नहीं तो शैतान उसे बरबाद कर देगा।

परन्तु यदि हमें बोझ है तो उपवास, प्रार्थना, शहर की विस्तृत सूचना एकत्र करना, उद्देश्य निर्धारित करना और स्थानीय स्रोतों का उपयोग कर रणनीति को लागू करना है। याद रखें कि सताव अवश्य आएगा, परन्तु नहेम्याह के समान, हमें अपने उद्देश्य से नहीं हटना चाहिये। (नहेम्याह 2ः 19-20; 6ः 2-3; 2 तिमोथी 3ः 12)

परमेश्वर ने हमें शत्रु के विरूद्ध उपवास और प्रार्थना से एक सुरक्षा की दीवाल बनाने के लिये चुना है जिससे हमारा शहर परमेश्वर का निवास स्थान बन जाए। (यशायाह 1ः 26; यहेजकेल 48ः 35)

।। प्रार्थना ।।

1. प्रभु आप यहोवा शम्मा हैं जिसका अर्थ है ‘‘प्रभु यहाँ है’’। हम भय और विस्मय से उस आश्चर्यजनक दिन कि बाट जोहते हैं जब कि आप शहर के निवासी बनेंगे, विश्वासियों के साथ नये यरूशलेम में वास करेंगे। परन्तु अभी आप हमारे हृदयों में वास करते हैं। (प्रकाशितवाक्य 21ः 1-3; यहेजकेल 48ः 35)

2. प्रभु उन सभी अधिकारियों के लिये प्रार्थना करते हैं और आशीष देते हैं जो हम पर अधिकार रखते हैं तथा हमारे लिये सुविधा उपलब्ध कराते हैं जैसे कि हमारे नरग पालिका के अधिकारी, विधायक, सांसद, कमिश्नर, कलेक्टर, जिला पंचायत, अध्यक्ष, पुलिस अधीक्षक, सरपंच, बी.डी.ओ., तहसीलदार, कोतवाल, और पटवारी इसके साथ ही कृषि विभाग, विद्युत विभाग, शिक्षा, पोस्ट आॅफिस, जन-गणना, स्वास्थ, वन, पशुचिकित्सा आयकर, पुलिस, बैन्क, टेलीफोन, पर्यावरण, सड़क, रेल्वे, पानी वितरण, और सफाई आदि। हम प्रार्थना करते हैं, कि वे सब सत्य को जाने और उद्धार पायें।

3. प्रभु हम प्रार्थना करते हैं कि नहेम्याह के समान, विश्वासी अपने शहर का बोझ लेकर शत्रु के विरूद्ध एक सुरक्षा की दीवाल बनाए, रोएं, उपवास और प्रार्थना करें तथा पश्चात्ताप करें ताकि नगर बच जाए। (यहेजकेल 9ः 3-6)

4. हम प्रार्थना करते हैं कि आप हमें सघन कलीसिया रोपण की सही रणनीति देंगे, ताकि हमारा शहर शीघ्रता से कलीसियाओं से भर जाये। 

5. प्रभु यद्धपि हम मूर्ख, कमजोर और अयोग्य हैं फिर भी आपने हमें बुद्धिमानों, पराक्रमी और शहर के प्रभावशाली लोगों को लज्जित करने के लिये इसलिये चुना है, क्योंकि हमने आपके नाम पर विश्वास किया है।(1 कुरिन्थियों 1ः 26-30)

6. हम आपको धन्यवाद देते हैं कि आपने हमें उठाकर स्वर्गीय स्थानों में मसीह यीशु के साथ बैठा दिया है। हमें प्रधानताओं, और अंधकार की सारी सामर्थ से युद्ध करने के लिये शक्ति और अपने शहर पर अधिकार करने, आवश्यक आत्मिक हथियारों को उपलब्ध कराया है। (इफिसियों 1ः 20-23)

Fourth Wednesday of The Month

Subject: Strategic Prayer for the City

So it was, when I heard these words (about Jerusalem City) that I sat down and wept and mourned many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven. (Nehemiah 1: 4)

Nehemiah was a only a cup bearer of a great gentile king but had a great burden for his city of Jerusalem even though he was far away in Babylon, which is now Iraq. When he heard about the sad condition of his city, he wept and began praying and fasting for 3 months. The king appointed him the governor of the city and gave all the facilities he asked for. Nehemiah secretly visited the city alone at night and collected information on which he made his strategy. He gathered all the elders of the city and delegated the responsibility to build the wall right in front of their own houses. He finished the building of the seven-kilometer wall of Jerusalem in a record time of 52 days, in spite of severe persecution from his own people.(Nehemiah 6: 15)

From Nehemiah we can learn many lessons which are applicable to us. First and foremost is to be burdened for one’s own city. If we have no concern for our own city, then the city is doomed. 

But if we have a burden which every believer should have, then everything can happen like fasting, prayer, collecting detailed information about the city, setting goals, developing a strategy, implementing it as well as using local resources. Also we must never forget that whenever we want to do some good then persecution will come, often from within. But like Nehemiah, we should never lose sight of our goal. (Nehemiah 2: 19, 20; 6: 2, 3)

God has chosen us to transform the city through prayer, proclaiming the gospel and taking possession by planting multiplying churches, which will turn the city upside down. But first we must build a wall of defense against the enemy.

:: PRAYER :: 

1. O Lord You are Jehovah Shammah which means ‘Lord is there’. We look forward with awe and wonder to that wonderful day when You will be a city dweller, living among people in the New Jerusalem. In the meanwhile thank You for living in our hearts. (Ephesians 2: 6; Ezekiel 48: 35) 

2. Lord, we pray and bless all those who have rule and authority and provide facilities for us like our local officials, M.L.A’s, members of parliament, Commissioner, Collector, Zila Panchayat Adhyaksh, S.P., Sarpanch, B.D.O., Tehsildar, Kotwal, Patwari, departments of Agriculture, Electricity, Education, Post Office, Statistics, Health, Forest, Animal Husbandry, Income Tax, Police, Bank, Telephone, Environment, Road, Railway, Water supply, Sanitation and their workers, that they may all know the truth and find salvation.

3. Lord we pray that like Nehemiah, You will burden the believers for their cities so that they will weep, fast, pray and do all that is necessary to build a wall of defense against the enemy.

4. We pray that You will give us the right strategy of Saturation Church Planting to rapidly saturate our city with churches and turn it upside down. We also pray that you show us the ‘Persons of Peace’ in every part of our city, where we may find all the necessary resources to implement the strategy. (Luke 10: 6) 

5. Lord although we are foolish, weak and worthless, You have chosen us to shame the wise, the mighty and the noble of the city, only because we have believed in Your name. (1 Corinthians 1: 26-30)

6. Thank You for raising us and making us sit together in heavenly places with Christ Jesus. You have empowered us to wrestle with principalities and powers of darkness and provided us with all the spiritual weapons we need to take possession of our city. (Ephesians 1: 20-23)
