महीने का दूसरा रविवार

प्रार्थना विषय: रविवार की आराधना (यहेजकेल 4ः 1-3)

प्रिसकिल्ला और अक्विला का और उन के घर की कलीसिया का तुम को नमस्कार। (1 कुरिन्थियों 16ः 19)

पहिली सदी के मसीही बड़ी निर्दयता से यहूदी तथा अन्य जाति के लोग और रोमी शासन द्वारा सताए गये थे। वे घरों में बहुत थोड़ी संख्या में गुप्त रीति से मिला करते थे। यदि पकड़े जाते तो मारे जाते, जेल में डाले जाते, आरी से काटे जाते, यहाँ तक कि भूखे सिंहों को खिलाए जाते थे। यीशु पर विश्वास करने की कीमत बहुत मंहगी थी, तौ भी जब लोगों ने देखा कि मसीही कैसे एक दूसरे से प्रेम करते हैं तो हजारों लोगों ने प्रभु पर विश्वास किया। उस समय कोई वाद्य संगीत नहीं था। कान फोड़ू आराधना और गलाफाड़ उपदेश नहीं होता था। वे आपस में दुआ प्रार्थना, वचन इत्यादि की संगति चुपचाप करते थे और उनके मध्य आपसी घनिष्ट प्रेम की जीवन शैली होती थी। इस कारण से वे तेजी से संख्या में बढ़ते थे। (प्रेरितों के काम 9ः 31)

आज चर्च पूरी तरह विषय वस्तु, चरित्र और दायित्व से परिवर्तित होकर रीति-रिवाज़ी हो गया है। दुःख की बात है कि यहाँ पवित्रात्मा सप्ताह में केवल एक दिन, 10 बजे से 12 बजे के बीच रविवार को ही आता है। बाकी दिन वह बेरोजगार रहता है। इन सबमें प्रभु को पाने के बदले, दूसरे धर्म के लोग ठोकर खाते हैं। ठोकर खिलाने का मतलब किसी को जानबूझकर गड्ढे में गिराना। इसकी सजा गले में चक्की का पत्थर डालकर समुद्र में फेकना (मत्ती 18ः 6-7)

आज हम जो कुछ भी कर रहे हैं वह नये नियम की कलीसिया के गोपनीयता और सादगी से कोसों दूर है। हमारे प्रभु ने आराधना के धर्म सिद्धान्त को एक धार्मिक अगुवे को नहीं बल्कि एक पापी सामरी स्त्री को सिखाया था। उसके लिये आराधना का सही अर्थ पूरे गाँव को यीशु के पैरों पर लाना। (यूहन्ना 4ः 23-24, 39)

यदि आप परमेश्वर के राज्य को तेजी से बढ़ाना चाहते हैं तो बाइबल से परे सारे रीति-रिवाज़ जैसे विशेष आराधनालय, मात्र रविवारीय आराधना एवं उससे सम्बंधित विशेष व्यक्ति, दशवांश इत्यादि को कचरे के घूरे में फेक दीजिये जिससे पहिली सदी के समान फलवंत कलीसियाएं रोपी जा सकें।

।। प्रार्थना ।।

1. ओ इलोहीम, आप सर्वशक्तिमान, परम प्रधान परमेश्वर हैं। वे जो आप पर अपना भरोसा रखते हैं वे नई सामर्थ पाएंगे, वे उकाबों के नाई ऊँचे उडे़ंगे। वे दौड़ेंगे और थकेंगे नहीं, वे चलेंगे और श्रमित नहीं होंगे। स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी टल जाएंगे परन्तु आपका वचन नहीं टल सकता। (यशायाह 40ः 31; मत्ती 24ः 35)

2. प्रभु हम प्रार्थना करते हैं कि बहुत से प्रार्थना भ्रमणकरता, गलियों में जाकर अधोलोक के फाटकों को बंद करेंगे ताकि यरूशलेम के चर्च के समान पुरूषों और स्त्रियों की एक बड़ी भीड़ हमारे शहर में छोटे छोटे समूहों में एकत्र होने पाएं।

3. पिता, जैसे सभी स्वस्थ जीवित प्राणी बच्चे पैदा करते हैं वैसे आपकी दुल्हन जीती हुई आत्माओं को एकत्रित करके अनेक नई कलीसियाएं उत्पन्न करे।

4. प्रभु इस शहर के सभी धर्मी लोग नाश होने वालों के लिए दरार में खड़े होकर मध्यस्थता की प्रार्थना करें कि वे शहर का नक्शा प्राप्त करके अंधकार की शक्तियों के विरूद्ध मध्यस्थता से घेराबंदी करें। (यहेजकेल 4ः 1-3)

5. ओ पिता, अब्राहम ने सदोम और अमोरा जैसे पाप पूर्ण शहरों के लिये मध्यस्थता किया परन्तु दस धर्मी जन नहीं मिलने से वे शहर नष्ट हो गये। प्रभुजी हमारी कलीसियाएं भ्रष्ट, धोखेबाज, कपटी, बेइमान, व्यभिचारी और अनुचित लाभ उठाकर ठोकर देने वाले लोगों से भरी है। प्रभुजी अब हमारी मध्यस्थता की प्रार्थना से हमारी कलीसिया नाश न होने पाए। (उत्पत्ति 18ः 22-23)

6. हम आपको धन्यवाद देते हैं कि हमारे शहर के लोगों से आपने इतना अधिक प्रेम किया कि आपने अपना एक लौता पुत्र दिया कि जो कोई उस पर विश्वास करे वह नाश न होवे परन्तु अनन्त जीवन पाए। प्रभु अपनी कलीसिया को पूरी तरह रीति-रिवाज़ और अंतरकलह के कूड़ा करकट से साफ कीजिये जिससे सब दाग और झुर्रियां निकल जांए। (यूहन्ना 3ः 16; यशायाह 1ः 25)

Second Sunday of the Month

Subject: The House Church (Ezekiel 4: 1-3)

Aquila and Priscilla greet the Church in thy house. (1 Corinthians 19: 16)

First century believers were severely persecuted by the Jews, the gentiles and the Roman government. They met secretly in homes in very small numbers. If caught they could be beaten up, jailed, sawn asunder and even fed to hungry lions. The price for believing in Jesus was high and yet, when people saw how Christians loved each other, thousands believed in Jesus. There was no instrumental music, no loud worship and no sermons. They lived by faith and quietly shared their faith with others. They also had no foreign funding. In spite of these or perhaps because of this they multiplied and grew rapidly. (Acts 9: 31) 

Today the church has completely changed in character and content. The worship is usually deafening. Oblivious of the neighborhood, the worship leaders scream through the loud speakers with worshippers jumping around and joining in making weird noises, all in the name of spiritual ecstasy. The atmosphere to an outsider is hysterical. Sadly, the Holy Spirit comes only once a week, between 10 and 12 AM on Sundays. The message with triumphalistic language extols success achieved through foreign money and exploitation of the poor evangelists. Most of the healing crusades are stage managed, full of gimmickry, the more so when a foreigner is present. When an evil spirit is removed, there is so much shouting, screaming, pulling of hair and jumping around that it is difficult to tell who actually has the evil spirit. Instead of finding Jesus in all this, the people of other faiths find it very offensive. (1 Corinthians 14: 24, 25) 

Every thing we do today is far removed from the secrecy and the simplicity of the New Testament Church. Our Lord did not teach the doctrine of worship to a religious leader but to the Samaritan woman of ill repute. To her worship meant bringing the entire Gentile village to the feet of Jesus. (John 4: 23, 24, 39) 

If we want to have the same success in rapidly advancing the kingdom of God as our mother church then we need to unload all the extra-biblical garbage. We need to plant first century churches in the twenty-first century. 

:: PRAYER :: 

1. O Elohim, You are the Sovereign God of the universe, who covenants with His people to preserve His creation. Those who wait on You shall renew their strength. They shall mount up with wings like eagles. They shall run and not be weary. They shall walk and not faint. Heaven and earth will pass away, but Your words will by no means pass away. Lord let Your Church be without spot or wrinkle. (Isaiah 1: 25; 40: 31; Matt. 24: 35)

2. O Lord, grant that many prayer walkers will go into broadways and narrow lanes and close the gates of Hades, so that Satan will not hinder the people from entering the church. Grant O Father that just like the Jerusalem church, 3000 souls, then 5000 and finally multitudes of men and women from our city will gather in small groups to be discipled. 

3. Father, we pray that just like all healthy living things reproduce themselves, let Your Bride also reproduce herself and multiply and fill the earth. That the church may not be preoccupied with just winning sheep but also flock them into local churches.

4. Lord, we uphold all the righteous people of this city that they may stand in the gap between You and the perishing. We pray that they may obtain maps of the city and like Ezekiel lay an intercessory siege against the powers of darkness. (Ezekiel 4: 1-3)

5. O Father, Abraham interceded for sinful cities of Sodom and Gomorrah but since they did not have even ten righteous people, the cities were destroyed. Now we pray for plenty of intercessors so that this city will not be destroyed. (Genesis 18: 22, 23)

6. We thank You for loving the people of our city so much that You gave Your only Son that, whoever believes in Him, will not perish but have everlasting life. Lord, thoroughly purge the dross from Your church and help us to plant the same kind of churches which You taught Your disciples to establish. (John 3: 16; Isaiah 1: 25)
