महीने का चैथा रविवार

प्रार्थना विषय: परमेश्वर और एक दूसरे के साथ घनिष्टता

और वे प्रेरितों से लगातार शिक्षा पाने, संगति रखने रोटी तोडने, और प्रार्थना करने में लव-लीन रहे... और जो उद्धार पाते थे, उनको प्रभु प्रतिदिन उनमें जोड़ देते थे। (प्रेरितों के काम 2ः 42-47)

हमारी मातृ कलीसिया पहिली सदी में घरों में मिला करती थीं। एक साथ वे धर्मशास्त्र में खोजते, एक साथ वे भोजन करते, एक साथ वे प्रार्थना करते, एक साथ वे अपनी संसारिक वस्तुएं बांटते, एक साथ वे सहभागिता करते, एक साथ वे मिलकर आत्माओं की मछली पकड़ने जाते थे। लोगों को अपने घर लाकर शिष्य बनाते थे और प्रभु प्रतिदिन उनकी संख्या में जोड़ देता था।

वे एक चित होकर मनुष्यों को पकड़ने हेतु अच्छी रणनीति के साथ जाते थे। उनकी सफलता के कारण मंदिर के अधिकारियों ने उन्हें ताड़ना दिया और शहर को अपने धर्म सिद्धान्त से भर देने का उन पर दोषारोपण किया। शीघ्र ही हजारों लोग घरों में आराधना करने लगेे। (प्रेरितों के काम 5ः 17, 20, 28)

परमेश्वर अपने लोगों से प्रतिदिन घनिष्ट पारिवारिक सम्बंध चाहता है और उन्हें अपनी सेवा के लिए प्रतिदिन उपयोग में लाना चाहता है। दुःख की बात है कि उसके लोग सप्ताह भर उपलब्ध नहीं होते, और रविवार को चर्च के भीतर छुप जाते हैं। वे परमेश्वर के लिये अनुपयोगी हैं। प्रभु यीशु सब जाति, कुल और गोत्र से अपनी विश्वव्यापी कलीसिया बना रहा है और इस प्रकार के शिथिल लोगों का उपयोग नहीं कर सकता चाहे वे रविवार को कितने भी सुसज्जित क्यों न दिखते हों।

बहुत से चर्च अपने ‘कुर्सी दौड़’ वाले कार्यक्रमों में व्यस्त हैं। उन्हें परमेश्वर के साथ घनिष्ट सम्बन्ध या उसके मिशन के प्रति कोई चिन्ता नहीं है। यदि हम चाहते हैं कि हमारे देश का उद्धार हो तो हमें अपने कार्यक्रम त्यागना पड़ेगा और परमेश्चर के कार्य अर्थात अन्य जातियों को शिष्य बनाने के लिए उपलब्ध होना पड़ेगा। तब जाकर लोग आप पर भी दोषारोपण कर सकेंगे कि आपने अपने शहर को उलट पुलट कर दिया है।

।। प्रार्थना ।।

1. प्रभु, आपकी प्रतिज्ञा के लिये आपको धन्यवाद देते हैं क्योंकि यदि हम आज्ञाकारी बने रहें तो हम में से पाॅच एक सौ जन को और सौ जन, दस हजार को भगा सकते हैं। पिता हमें अपने घनिष्ठता से लपेटे रख और अपने उद्धेश्य के लिए हमारा पूरा उपयोग कर। (लैव्यव्यवस्था 26ः 8; व्यवस्थाविवरण 32ः 30)

2. पिता, आप हमारे शहर और हमारे राष्ट्र में कुछ भी नहीं करेंगे जब तक कि पहिले अपना भेद अपने दासों को नहीं बतला दें। प्रभु अब अंत का समय है इसलिए आप हर एक जन से स्वप्न और दर्शन में बात करेंगे और वे सब मिल कर भविष्यवाणी करेगें। (आमोस 3ः 7; योएल 2ः 28)

3. ओ पिता, अन्यजाति के लोग देखने पांए कि हम कैसे एक साथ रहते और एक दूसरे से प्रेम करते हैं। तब वे आकर हमारे कपड़े पकड़ कर कहें कि हमें भी अपने साथ आने दो, क्योंकि हम सुनते हैं कि परमेश्वर तुम्हारे साथ है। (जर्कयाह 8ः 23)

4. पिता, जब विश्वासी एक साथ मिलते हैं तो हर एक के पास भजन, शिक्षा, अन्य-अन्य भाषा और उसका अनुवाद और प्रकाशन हो। कि वे एक दूसरे के अधीन हों, प्रोत्साहन दें, जरूरत हो तो ताड़ना दें और कलीसिया की उन्नति हेतु सब काम एकता के साथ करें। (1 कुरिन्थियों 14ः 26-31; कुलुस्सियों 3ः 16)

5. पिता हम अन्य जाति के बड़ी भीड़ के लिये प्रार्थना करते हैं जो आज निर्णय की घाटी में हैं। ओ प्रभु शीघ्र सूर्य और चाँद की रोशनी उन पर हमेशा के लिये अंधकार बन जाएगी। आपके लोग फसल को बर्बाद न होने दें, परन्तु उठ कर भीड़ की सेवा करें कि वे सही निर्णय ले सकें। (योएल 3ः 14-15)

6. प्रभु आपकी प्रतिज्ञा के लिये धन्यवाद देते हैं ‘‘हे छोटे झुण्ड मत डर क्योंकि पिता को यह भाया है कि राज्य तुम्हें दे’’। पिता अपने छोटे झुण्ड को एक मन से एक जुट होकर काम करने की रणनीति दे। (लूका 12ः 32)

Fourth Sunday of the Month

Subject: Intimacy with God and with Each Other

“And they continued steadfastly in the apostolic teaching and fellowship, eating of food and in prayers and the Lord added to their numbers daily.” (Acts 2: 42-47)

Our mother church in the first century met in homes where the apostles taught. Together they searched the scriptures. Together they prayed. Together they shared their material blessings. Together they had fellowship. Together they ate food. Together they went fishing for souls. Together they brought people to their homes for discipling and the Lord added to their numbers daily. 

They had been trained by Jesus to be expert fishers of men.  They went out, with ‘one accord’, which means with well-planned strategy to catch men. Evidently they were greatly successful because the temple authorities persecuted them and blamed them for saturating the city with their doctrine. (Acts 5: 17- 20, 28). Soon thousands of people were worshipping together in homes.

God told Jeremiah to take the new linen sash from his waist and hide it in a hole near the river Euphrates. After some days he got the cloth back again but by this time it was ruined and profitable for nothing. Linen sash is not a showpiece but a very intimate multi-utility possession. It is used as a towel, a head covering for protection from the hot sun etc. It indicates servant-hood. Jesus used it to wipe the feet of the disciples. God wants to have the same intimate relationship with His people and use them for His service. Sadly His people are not available to Him during the weekdays and hide themselves in the church on Sundays. In the process they have ruined themselves and become useless for God. He cannot use the rotten ‘Pew Potatoes’. He needs people who are available to Him for daily use, to complete His mission. (Jeremiah 13: 1-11) 

Many churches are busy with their ‘merry go round’ programs without serious concern for intimacy with God or for His mission. If we want to see our nation reached, then we must be available to do things together with God.

:: PRAYER :: 

1. Lord, thank You for Your promise that if we are obedient to You then five of us will chase a hundred and a hundred of us will put ten thousand to flight. But if we are disobedient then one enemy will chase a thousand and two of them will put 10,000 Christians to flight. Therefore, we should be sober and vigilant because, our adversary walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Father, keep us intimately wrapped around you and use us. (Leviticus 26: 8; Deuteronomy 32: 30; 1 Peter 5: 8)

2. Father, You will not do any thing in our city or in our nation, unless You first reveal Your secret to Your servants the prophets. Lord we pray that You will speak to men, women and children in dreams and visions and together they will prophesy. (Amos 3: 7, Joel 2: 28)

3. O Father, we pray that peoples of other faiths will see dreams and visions of Jesus. May they see how we live together and love each other. Then let them come and grab our sleeves and say, ‘Let us go with you for we hear that God is with you.’ (Zechariah 8: 23)

4. Father, when believers come together, let each one bring a psalm, a teaching, a tongue and its interpretation and a revelation. May men, women and children prophesy, share visions and dreams. Let all things be done together for edification of the church. (1 Corinthians 14: 26-31)

5. Father, we pray for the multitudes who are in the valley of decision. O Lord, the light of the sun and the moon will grow dark on them forever. Let not Your people hide and be ruined like the linen sash but rise up and serve the multitudes to make the right decision. (Joel 3: 14, 15) 

6. Lord, we thank You for Your promise, ‘O Little flock, do not be afraid because it has pleased the Father to give you the kingdom.’ Father give Your little flock the strategy to do the right things with one accord. Teach us the necessary ‘skills’ to become expert fishers of men. (Luke 12: 32)
