SPIRITUAL DNA

1. DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid) is a genetic code that contains all the essential information as to how a living cell will function and reproduce. If it malfunctions then the cell dies or worse it becomes cancerous and will eventually kill the whole body.

2. Without the DNA of Christ we cannot even see, much less enter the kingdom. When we are born again and become a new creation, His DNA determines how we function and multiply. It includes every aspects of our life, such as stewardship of our bodies, minds, hearts, attitudes and desires. (John 3:3-7;14:17; 2Cor. 5:17,18)

3. A sacrificial animal had its body parts cut into head, the legs and the internal organs with the fat and then offered on the altar. Head meant submission of devotee’s mind. The legs meant that he will walk with God in obedience. The organs and the fat, meant giving up everything that was of value to him. (Rom. 12:1,2; 2Cor. 6:16; Gal. 5:25)

4. When David wanted to buy Araunah’s land to build an altar, Araunah generously offered it as a gift. But David refused, saying, “I will not offer a burnt offering that has cost me nothing.”  Sacrifice implies offering something that costs the believer, self, time, or money. Giving to God something that costs us nothing does not translate into commitment. (2Sam. 24:20-27; Phil 4:18)

5. The DNA of Yeshua radically transforms us into an entirely new creation with totally new skills, abilities and boldness. His Word now resides in our minds and His Spirit in our hearts, morphing us in His image and in His likeness. (2Cor. 5:17-21)

6. The DNA of Christ makes us relationally connected with Him and with each other, so that we are no longer strangers and foreigners but become a household of God and His Body, the church. (Eph. 2:19; 3:12; John 17:21,23)

7. The DNA of Yeshua converts us into his royal priests and the temple of the living God which crucifies the lusts of the flesh of this world and changes our agenda of building our empire into His agenda of advancing His kingdom.

8. The DNA of Yeshua reflects the fruits of the spirit in our lives such as love joy, peace, even to our enemies and that produces lasting fruit in terms of disciples made, baptized, equipped and sent. (Gal 5:22-25; John 15:16)

9. The DNA of Yeshua empowers us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we can cast out demons, heal the sick, lead to inner healing and deliverance and be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. (Mark 16:17,18; Acts 1:8)

10. The DNA of Yeshua gives us the mind of Christ so that we can have wisdom to discern things supernaturally and hear oracles of God, prophecy and obey Him.(1Cor. 2:16)

11. The DNA of Yeshua gives us the roadmap and the strategy to go and fully preach the gospel with mighty deeds where Christ has not been named. (Rom. 15:19,20)

12. The DNA of Christ in us is the hope of glory of the lost Gentiles and reveals the mystery of his mission that they will be partakers of his kingdom. (Col. 1:13;26-28)

13. Religious activities, do not implant spiritual DNA, nor do they win any salvation points because; There are ways that seem right unto men but lead to death.” Only abiding in Christ, brings abundant fruit. (Prov. 14:12)
