Divine Healing

1. All Healing Comes From God: “If you will diligently hear My voice, do right in My sight, hear my commandments, keep My statutes;  I will put none of these diseases upon you...for I am the Lord that heals you” (Jehovah Rapha). (Exo. 15:26)

2. By His Stripes we are Healed: “He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and by His stripes we are healed.” (Isa. 53:5)

3. Without Faith, Healing is Not Possible: Yeshua said to a centurion about his servant; the blind man; the woman with issue of blood and many others; “Your faith has healed you.” He also said, “If you have faith, the size of a mustard seed, nothing will be impossible. You can even move mountains.” (Matt. 6:8,13; 9:28-30; 17:20; Mark 5:34,36; 11:22,23; Heb. 11:6; James 1:6-8)

4. Forgiving others brings healing: Unforgiveness is the root cause of diseases like hypertension, insomnia, migraines and many other psychosomatic diseases. Anger is sin and provides legal entry for demons to come in and torment. (Matt. 18:32-35; Mark 11:25,26; Eph. 4:26,27)

5. Obedience precedes healing : The key to getting healed and remain healed is obedience. Naaman was furious but  later when he obeyed and took seven dips in the Jordan River, he was healed of leprosy. If you remain obedient then not only the fruit of your body but even the produce of your field and your flock will be blessed. (2Kings 5; Exo. 15:26; Deut. 28:1,2,4)

6. The power of Agreement: “If two of you agree concerning anything, then it will be done by My Father in heaven.” (Matt. 18:19)

7. Prayer of Faith: “Is any sick among you? Let him pray and call for the elders of the church; who will pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith shall save the sick  and the Lord shall raise him up, and if  he has committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Confess your sins to each other and pray for another that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man achieves much. (Jam. 5: 14-16) 

8. Preaching and Healing go together: “Yeshua went about all the cities, teaching and preaching the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease among the people.” He authorized His disciples to do the same. (Matt. 4:23,24; 9:35; 10:7,8; Mark 3:14,15)

9. Spiritual warfare results in healing: Much of the illness is due to demonic oppression as in the case of an epileptic boy and a woman bent over for 18 years. Casting out evil spirits leads to deliverance and inner healing. (Acts 10:38; Matt. 17:15,18; Luke 13:12,16)

10. Persist in seeking healing: As the Syro-Phoenician Gentile woman persisted with Yeshua for her daughter’s healing. Faith is not feeling but trusting the Word of God. Many do not recieve healing because they do not have faith. When Daniel fasted and prayed but it took three weeks for an angel to appear, even though God answered his prayer on the first day. The ultimate aim of God is the healing of the nations. (Mark 2:3,4; 5:27,29,34,7:25-30;10:48-50; 2 Chron. 7:14; Rev. 22:2)
