Description: Genesis 3:9 - Where are you? It's not punishment, it's Jesus searching for the lost sheep. Luke 19:10, Revelation 3:20, John 10:3.
Topic: Is God Still Coming To Meet Us And Calling - Where Are You?

Key Verse:
"But the LORD God called to the man, 'Where are you?'" - Genesis 3:9.

Teaching of Lord Jesus:
"For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost." - Luke 19:10.

1. God Still Comes Searching - This Is The Core Teaching of Jesus.

The Bible teaches man does not seek God, God seeks man.
- "There is no one who seeks God." - Romans 3:11

That is why God Himself came in Jesus Christ:

A) Jesus came to seek the lost sheep (Luke 15:4-6)
Jesus taught - "Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Does he not leave the ninety-nine... and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?" This is the fulfillment of Genesis 3:9.

B) Jesus is knocking at the door today (Revelation 3:20)
Jesus says - "Here I am! I stand at the door and knock." In Eden He was calling in the garden, today He is calling at the door of your heart - Where are you?

C) Jesus as the Good Shepherd calls you by name (John 10:3, 14)
"He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out." God called Adam by name, today Jesus calls you by name.

2. Where Have We Hidden Today? - 3 Places With Proof.

A) We have hidden in shame and sin - Genesis 3:10, Psalm 32:3-5.
Adam said I was naked so I hid. David says when I kept silent, my bones wasted away.
Jesus' Teaching: Jesus said - "Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light" - John 3:19-20. We hide from the light because of sin.

B) We have hidden in excuses - Genesis 3:12, Luke 14:18.
Adam blamed Eve.
Jesus' Teaching: Jesus gave the parable of the Great Banquet - One said I bought a field, another said I bought oxen. They all made excuses - Luke 14:18-20. Today we make the same excuses for not praying.

C) We have hidden in worldly worries and busyness - Luke 10:40-41, Mark 4:19.
Martha was busy in the kitchen and forgot to listen to Jesus.
Jesus said - "Martha, you are worried about many things, but only one thing is needed."
Today we are hidden among the trees of mobile, money, and work.

3. How To Come Out Of Hiding? - The Solution of Jesus.

1. Don't hide, confess (1 John 1:7, 9 and James 5:16)
The Word says - "If we confess our sins, he will forgive us."
When Adam hid, he lost his covering, but when the prodigal son said Father I have sinned - Luke 15:21 - the father gave him a new robe - Luke 15:22.

2. You cannot flee from God (Psalm 139:7-8)
David says - "Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence?" Jesus said a woman lit a lamp and searched for the lost coin - Luke 15:8. God is lighting a lamp and searching for you.

3. Come back to the garden daily (Genesis 3:8, Matthew 18:20)
God came in the cool of the day. Jesus said - "For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them." 15 minutes of family prayer every evening is that garden.

Today's Prayer (According to Luke 15:18):
"Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. Here I am, I am coming out from behind the trees."

Today's Declaration:
"I am not hidden, my Shepherd calls me by name (John 10:3)! My house hears God's voice! Like the prodigal son, we have returned to the Father's house (Luke 15:20)!"

Today's Task:
Read Luke Chapter 15 (Lost Sheep, Lost Coin, Prodigal Son) with your family and Genesis 3.

Shalom,
