YOUR ETERNAL INHERITANCE
1.
God the Father has
chosen an inheritance for each of His children, that they should go and fight a
good fight, take possession of it, and rule over it. (Psalm 47:3-4; 2 Timothy
4:7-8; Revelation 5:10)
2.
God will not give
this inheritance at an appointed time, because He has already given it to you.
Wherever your foot treads, that place has been given to you. To set foot means
(through prayer walk) to crush Satan’s head under your feet. (Joshua 1:3, Romans
16:20, 1 Timothy 2:8)
3.
Without
inheritance, you cannot be a complete Christian. Everyone has to claim their
inheritance, and then take possession of it. Even the Lord had to claim His
inheritance. We are co-heirs with the Lord. (Psalm 2:7-8; Romans 8:17)
4.
You must ask God
for one or more special races (groups), and also ask for a region. God gave
Abraham the land of Canaan as inheritance, from the Euphrates River (which is
in Iraq) to the Nile River (which is in Egypt), and also 10 nations. Peter
became the inheritor of the Jews of Judea province. Paul became the inheritor
of all non-Jews from Jewish Jerusalem to Illyricum, and Lydia got Philippi and
Titus got Crete as inheritance. (Psalm 2:8; Genesis 15:18-21; Galatians 2:6;
Romans 15:17-19; Titus 1:5)
5.
The Lord Jesus
found His inheritance by seeking and saving the lost. The Lord connected the
Samaritan woman to the Samaritans, and the demon-possessed man of Gadarenes to
the Decapolis (ten cities), connecting them to His inheritance. This was done
immediately after their transformation, before their baptism took place.
(Matthew 5:18-20; John 4:39)
6.
Only by praying,
reading the Bible, attending Bible college, and being present in church every
week do we not receive inheritance. The word of God is not only for knowledge
but also develops you to receive your inheritance. Fulfilling the Lord's
commands, such as making disciples, entitles you to inheritance. (Matthew
28:18; Acts 20:32)
7.
God had made Adam
the inheritor of the Garden of Eden, but he lost it through disobedience. Esau
lost his inheritance for a bowl of stew. Judas Iscariot sold his inheritance
for 30 silver coins. Because of spiritual blindness, Christians today have lost
their inheritance. (Romans 11:25; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Ephesians 4:17-18)
8.
God the Father has
given all His sons and daughters talents/gifts to use. Whoever increases their
gifts/talents, the Lord will appoint them to rule over many cities. (Luke
19:13-26)
9.
Every woman must
also receive her inheritance. Rebekah was blessed by her family that her
thousands upon thousands of descendants would possess the gates of their
enemies. Similarly, every Christian must adopt Rebekah’s blessing, produce
thousands of spiritual children (disciples), remove the enemies, and establish
their inheritance. (Genesis 24:57-60)
10.
The Lord Jesus
taught to lay up our wealth (inheritance) in heaven, but we collect worldly
wealth till our last breath, which thieves steal and moth destroy. (Luke
12:29-34)
11.
God gave Israel
only the land of Canaan, but He has given us the whole world as our
inheritance. The whole earth earnestly waits for the manifestation of the sons
of peace, who will break the bondage of the curse and redeem it. (Matthew 5:5;
Romans 8:19-21)
12.
The Lord commanded
Paul to open the eyes of the people, to turn those in darkness to the light,
and from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of God, then to unite them with
their inheritance through repentance. (Acts 26:18)
13.
One main work of
the Church is to unite every believer with their inheritance, which is
incorruptible, undefiled, and unfading. (1 Peter 1:4-9)
14.
Like Joshua, the
Church must make a plan based on the Lord Jesus’ vision, through which the
great commission can be fulfilled, and every Christian with their inheritance
(every tribe, family, and clan) can wait for the Lord’s second coming. (Joshua
18:3-9)
