महान आदेश

...स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी का सारा अधिकार मुझे दिया गया हैं। इसलिये तुम जाकर सब जाति के लोगों को चेला बनाओ, और उन्हें पिता, पुत्र और पवित्रात्मा के नाम से जल संस्कार दो और सब बातें जो मैंने आज्ञा दी हैं मानना सिखाओं, और देखो मैं जगत के अंत तक तुम्हारे साथ हूँ। (मत्ती 28ः 18ः20)

कलीसिया का सबसे प्रमुख काम परमेश्वर की महिमा करना है। (1इतिहास 16ः 29)

परमेश्वर की महिमा इसमे होती है कि तुम बहुतायत से फल लाओ। (यूहन्ना 15ः 8)

हर एक विश्वासी की नियुक्ति अर्थात दीक्षा (Ordination) प्रभु ने स्वयं की है कि आप जाकर फल लाएं और आपका फल बना रहे। इसके लिए बाइबल स्कूल जाने की और किसी अधिकारी या संस्था से दीक्षा लेने की आवश्यक्ता नहीं है। (यूहन्ना 15ः 16)

इसलिए हर एक विश्वासी को आदेश मिला है ‘कि जाते-जाते बपतिस्मा दो और सब बाते जो मैंने आज्ञा दी है मानना सिखाकर सब जातियों को शिष्य बनाओ।’ (यूनानी भाषा से सीधा अनुवाद) (मत्ती 28ः 19)

1. तुम सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि को सुसमाचार सुनाओं। (मरकुस 16ः 15-16)

2. इसलिए जाते जाते उन्हें पिता, पुत्र और पवित्रात्मा के नाम से बपतिस्मा दो और सब बातें जो मैंने आज्ञा दी है मानना सिखाकर सब जातियों को शिष्य बनाओ (यूनानी तर्जुमा)। (मत्ती 28ः 19)

3. सब जातियों में उसके नाम से पापों की क्षमा और पश्चात्ताप का प्रचार किया जाएं। (लूका 24ः 47)

4. मेरी और बहुत सी भेड़ें हैं जो इस भेड़शाले की नहीं परन्तु उनको भी लाना आवश्यक है, और तब एक झुण्ड और एक चरवाहा होगा। (यूहन्ना 10ः 16)

5. जैसे पिता ने मुझे भेजा, वैसे मैं भी तुम्हें भेजता हूँ। (यूहन्ना 20ः 21)

6. जब पवित्रात्मा तुम पर आएगा, तब तुम सामर्थ पाओगे और तब यरूशलेम, सारे यहूदिया और सामरिया में यहाँ तक कि पृथ्वी की छोर तक मेरे गवाह बनोगे। (प्रेरितों के काम 1ः 8)

7. मेरा घर सब जातियों के लिये प्रार्थना का घर कहलायेगा। (मरकुस 11ः 17)

8. नरक से अपील - धनवान मनुष्य ने अब्राहम से विनती किया कि आप लाजर को मेरे पिता के घर भेज दें, क्योंकि मेरे पाॅच भाई हैं वह उनके सामने इन बातों की गवाही दे, ऐसा न हो कि वे भी इस पीड़ा की जगह में आएं। (लूका 16ः 19-31)

9. तब मैने प्रभु का यह वचन सुना, कि मैं किस को भेजूं और हमारी ओर से कौन जाएगा। तब मैने कहा ‘‘मैं यहाँ हूं प्रभु तू मुझे भेज। (यशायाह 6ः 8)

10. तब राज्य का सुसमाचार समस्त संसार में सब जातियों के मध्य गवाही के रूप में सुनाया जाएगा, तब अन्त आ जाएगा। (मत्ती 24ः 14)

हमारे प्रभु का महान आदेश है कि हर एक जाति को शिष्य बनाओ, बपतिस्मा दो और उन्हें मनुष्यों के मछुए बनाकर भेज दो। यह चर्च का और प्रत्येक सच्चे विश्वासी का अभिषेक है। बाकी धोखा है।

सब जातियों को शिष्य बनाना एक क्रूसेड, कन्वेन्शन, चंगाई सभा करना, परचा बाटना, फिल्म दिखाना इत्यादि यदा-कदा घटना नहीं है, परन्तु एक सुनियोजित, योजनाबद्ध, उद्देश्यपूर्ण प्रक्रिया है।

The Great Commission

1. ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature.’ (Mark 16: 15, 16)

2. “Go, therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28: 18-20)

3. “Repentance and remission of sins should be preached to all nations” (Luke 24: 47)

4. “I have other sheep, which are not of this fold, they also have to be brought in... And there will be one flock and one shepherd. (John 10: 16)

5. “As the Father has sent me. I also send you.” (John 20: 21)

6. “But you shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.”(Acts 1: 8)

9. “My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations...” (Mark 11: 17)

10. Desperate appeal from hell: The rich man appealed to Abraham to send Lazarus to his father’s house to testify to his five brothers, lest they also come to this place of torment. (Luke 16: 19-31)

11. “…I heard the voice of the Lord, saying; whom shall I send and who will go for us? Then I said, ‘Here I am, send me.” (Isaiah 6: 8)

14. “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” (Matthew 24: 14)

The Great commission of our Lord to ‘Disciple All Nations’ is the mandate and the work of the church and every true believer. Any thing less is counterfeit. Let it not become The Great Omission.

All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. (Matthew 28: 18-20)
