अंत का दर्शन / End Vision

भूमिका

अंत का दर्शन: सच्ची प्रार्थना परमेश्वर की इच्छा को जानने और उसको पूरा करने के लिए स्त्रोतों को मांगने हेतु की जाती है (लूका 22ः 41-42; 1 यूहन्ना 5ः 14)। परमेश्वर पिता की इच्छा यह है कि कोई भी नाश न हो परन्तु सब मनुष्यों का उद्धार हो और वे सत्य को जानने पाएं (1 तीमुथियुस 2ः 1-4)। यह उसकी इच्छा है कि उसका राज्य आए, और उसकी इच्छा हमारे हृदयों, घरों, शहरों और देश में पूरी हो। प्रभु की प्रार्थना का यही मुख्य विषय है। परमेश्वर का अन्त का दर्शन यह है कि सभी देशों के लोग, कुल, भाषा, और जाति समूह उसके सिंहासन के सामने खड़े किये जाएं, और अपने सृष्टिकत्र्ता की जय-जयकार करने का सौभाग्य पाएं। (प्रकाशित वाक्य 7ः 9-10)

केवल गीली आँखें, झुके घुटने और टूटे हृदय, विश्व को बदल सकते हैं।

सफल प्रार्थनाएं: पुराने नियम के भविष्यवक्ता प्रार्थना पुरूष थे। अब्राहम ने प्रार्थना किया और अबिमेलेक के परिवार से बांझपन की चंगाई हुई थी। यह पहिली चंगाई थी। (उत्पत्ति 20ः 17-18)

नहेम्याह ने अपने बाप दादाओं के पापों का पश्चात्ताप किया, और पारिवारिक पीढ़ियों के श्रापों को तोड़ा और उसने यरूशलेम की सात किलोमीटर लम्बी दीवाल को 52 दिनों में बनाया। (नहेमायाह 1ः 4-7)

दानिय्येल ने प्रार्थना किया, और परमेश्वर ने उसे, एक विधर्मी राजा के स्वप्न का प्रगटीकरण किया - कि एक छोटा पत्थर (कलीसिया) विश्व के सभी शैतानी राज्यों को चकनाचूर कर पूरी पृथ्वी को भर देगा। उसने पुनः उपवास और प्रार्थना किया, और स्वर्गीय स्थानों में युद्ध आरम्भ हुआ, और परमेश्वर के स्वर्गदूतों ने शैतान की सेना को करारी पराजय दी। (दानिय्येल 2ः 44-45; 10ः 13-20; इफिसियों 2ः 2)

एलिय्याह ने प्रार्थना किया, और बादल 3 वर्षो के लिये बंद हो गये। पुनः जब उसने प्रार्थना किया, स्वर्ग से आग नीचे आई और बालदेवता के 400 पुजारी नाश किये गए। (याकूब 5ः 17)

नये नियम के समय में चेलों ने एक मन से, एक चित होकर एक साथ प्रार्थना किया, और पवित्रात्मा पिन्तेकुस्त के दिन आग के समान आई। (प्रेरितों के काम 2ः 1-4)

उन्होंने पुनः एक चित होकर प्रार्थना किया और पूरी जगह हिल गई, और वे परमेश्वर का वचन हियाव से बोलते रहे। (प्रेरितों के काम 4ः 31)

प्रार्थना के उदाहरण: बाइबल में अनेक प्रकार की प्रार्थना के उदाहरण हैं: निवेदन, प्रार्थना, मध्यस्थता, और शासकों के लिये धन्यवाद, और अधिकारियों के लिये (1तीमुथियुस 2ः 1-2)। अपने नगर के लिये प्रार्थना (यिर्मयाह 29ः 7)। 

आत्मिक मल्लयुद्ध हेतु प्रार्थना (इफिसिसों 6ः 10-18)। मार्ग दर्शन हेतु उपवास और प्रार्थना (दानिय्येल 9ः 2-3)। फसल के लिये प्रार्थना (भजनसंहिता 126ः 5-6)। निरन्तर प्रार्थना (लूका 18ः 1-8), चिन्हों और चमत्कारों हेतु प्रार्थना (प्रेरितों के काम 4ः 30)। सताव के समय की प्रार्थना (प्रेरितों के काम 4ः 21-31)। मृतकों को जिलाने की प्रार्थना (प्रेरितों के काम 9ः 40) और स्तुति और आराधना (भजनसंहिता 100ः 4-5)।

कलीसिया मज़दूर विरोधी है: कलीसिया के पास लाखों मज़दूर हैं जिन्हें लेमेन बना कर निठल्ला बना दिया गया है ताकि पास्टर का पालन पोषन होता रहे। प्रभुजी ने भीड़ को देखकर तरस खाया और मज़दूरों की मांग की ताकि खोए हुओं की फसल काटी जाए (मत्ती 9ः 37-38)। परन्तु खोए हुओं के लिये चर्च के पास करूणा नहीं है। आज लाखों मज़दूरों की आवश्यकता है। हमारे देश के विशाल आत्मारूपी फसल को काटने के लिए हर एक विश्वासी को वचन की हंसिया चलाना पड़ेगा। हमारा चुनाव चर्च में आराम से बैठकर गीत गाने के लिये नहीं परन्तु बहुतायत से फल बटोरने के लिये किया गया है। (यूहन्ना 15ः 16)

भरपूर बोआई - भरपूर फसल: कलीसिया का यह कार्य है कि हर एक विश्वासी को एक मनुष्यों के दक्ष मछुवे बनाकर भेजें। हमें बहुतायत से आत्मिक फल लाने के लिए चुना गया है (युहन्ना 15ः 8)। सुसमाचार की भरपूर बोआई से ही भरपूर फसल मिल सकता है परन्तु आंसुओं से सिंचाई होना आवश्यक है (2 कुरिन्थियों 9ः 6)। विश्व में जैसे जैसे प्रार्थना करने वालों की सख्ंया बढ़ रही हैं वैसे-वैसे एक विशाल फसल आने लगी है विशेषकर एशिया, अफ्रीका, दक्षिण अमेरिका, के देशों में और मुस्लिम लोगों के बीच में भी गवाही तेजी से बढ़ रही है।

बकरी प्रार्थना: हमारा उद्धार इस संसार के खोए हुओं के लिये प्रार्थना करने किया गया है। दुर्भाग्यवश अनेक मसीही केवल मैं, मेरे प्रियजन, मेरी नौकरी, मेरी आवश्यकताएं, और मेरी मीठी नींद के लिये प्रार्थना करते हैं। यह बकरी के समान मैं, मैं, मैं वाली स्वार्थी प्रार्थना है। जब स्वर्गदूत फसल काटने आएंगे तो बकरियों को नरक में डाल देंगे। (मत्ती 25ः 31-46)

प्रार्थना कीजिये, घोषणा कीजिये और शासन करिये: आपन केवल एक साधारण लेमेन नहीं हैं परन्तु एक भविष्यवक्ता, याजक, मध्यस्थ और सेवक राजा हैं।  परमेश्वर ने हमारी नियुक्ति एक चैकीदार के समान अपने शहर की सुरक्षा समस्त शैतानी क्रिया कलापों के विरूद्ध करने के लिये की है (यशायाह 62ः 6-12) क्योंकि परमेश्वर नहीं चाहता कि कोई भी नाश हो, परन्तु सभों को पश्चात्ताप करने का मौका मिले। (2 पतरस 3ः 9)

बलवंत को बांधिये और गढ़ों को गिराइये: प्रभु यीशु अपनी कलीसिया बना रहे हैं जिसके विरूद्ध नरक के दरवाजे प्रबल नहीं होंगे (मत्ती 16ः 18)। यह चर्च का कार्य है कि शैतान (बलवंत) के सभी गढ़ों को गिराकर, परमेश्वर का राज्य स्थापित करें। कोई भी दो या तीन विश्वासी एकत्र होकर उसके नाम से गढ़ों को गिरा सकते हैं क्योंकि प्रभु स्वयं ही गढ़ों को ढाने वाला है। (मत्ती 18ः 18-20; 1 यूहन्ना 3ः 8)

इसी कारण परमेश्वर ने हमें प्रार्थना द्वारा सब जातियों को अधिकार में लेनें कहा है, क्योंकि वे हमेशा के लिये हमारी निज की सम्पत्ति हैं (भजन 2ः 8)। वह राजाओं का राजा हैं और उसके लोहू के द्वारा, उसने हमें सेवक राजा बनाया कि हम उसके बदले शासन करें। (प्रकाशितवाक्य 5ः 10; रोमियों 5ः 17)

एक महान आदेशक बने: यीशु मसीह संसार में भटकी हुई भेड़ों को खोजने आए (मत्ती 18ः 11-14; लूका 19ः 10)। उन्होंने कहा ‘‘कि तुम पहिले यरूशलेम, यहूदिया, सामरिया में, फिर पृथ्वी के छोर तक मेरे गवाह होगे (प्रेरितों के काम 1ः 8)। उन्होंने महान आदेश दिया, कि तुम जाकर सब जाति के लोगों को चेला बनाओ (मत्ती 28ः 18-20)। उन्होंने कहा कि जब यह महान आदेश पूरा होगा, तब अंत आ जाएगा (मत्ती 24ः 14)। प्रभु यीशु मसीह तब हमारा न्याय करने लौटेंगे। हमारा उद्धार हमारे विश्वास के ऊपर और हमारा न्याय हमारे कामों के ऊपर आधारित होगा। आपके सारे काम जलाए जांएगे और यदि कुछ बच गया तो आप भी बच जाएंगे अन्यथा सामने नरक तो है ही। (इफिसियों 2ः 8-10; याकूब 2ः 14-20; 1 कुरिन्थियों 3ः 12-15)

सिंहासन के सामने खड़े होने का निश्चित मार्ग: यदि आपके पास अनन्तकाल की सम्पत्ति नहीं है, अर्थात बचाई हुई आत्माए नहीं हैं तो आप शीघ्र अपना समय, अपना वरदान, और अपना धन लगाकर, मध्यस्थता द्वारा महान आदेश की पूर्ती में लग जायें। इस तरह एक दिन आप सिंहासन के सामने अपने परिश्रम के फलों के साथ परमेश्वर की स्तुति करेंगे। जब हर एक विश्वासी, एक कुल या जाति या भाषा या देश की आत्मा जीतने वाला बन जाएगा, तब वह परमेश्वर के सिंहासन के सामने खड़े होने के योग्य बनेगा।

प्रार्थना योद्धाओं को प्रशिक्षित तथा गुणित; (Multiply) करें, और युद्ध जीतें: प्रभु यीशु ने अपनी सेवकाई के आरम्भ ही से घोषणा किया कि ‘‘मन फिराओं क्योंकि परमेश्वर का राज्य निकट है’’। चेलों के साथ उसकी पहली मुलाकात में उसने उन से कहा कि वह उन्हें मनुष्यों के मछुवारे बनाएगा। हमें यह नहीं भूलना चाहिये कि सबसे पहिले हम मनुष्यों के मछुवारे हैं और हमें एक विशाल मछुवारों की फौज तैयार करना है, जो दूसरों को पश्चात्ताप की स्थिति में ला सकते हैं और उसके राज्य की बढ़ोत्तरी कर सकते हैं। इस कारण हर एक विश्वासी का दायित्व हैं कि न केवल एक मध्यस्थ बने, परन्तु बहुत से निपुण मछुवारे भी तैयार करे। कितनी तेजी से परमेश्वर का राज्य आगे बढ़ सकता है यह मछुवारों की संख्या पर निर्भर है।

भोजन की संगति करें: एक साथ मिलकर भोजन करना कलीसिया का एक महत्वपूर्ण पहलू है। प्रभु जी की सेवकाई में भोजन करना एक बहुत महत्वपूर्ण भाग था। उसने भीड़ को खिलाया, लोगों के घरों में भोजन किया, और कभी-कभी पापियों और कर लेने वालों के घरों में स्वयं को निमंत्रण दिया। यहाँ तक कि उसे पेटू और पियक्कड़ कहा गया। (लूका 7ः 34)

उसने चेलों को मेम्ना, रोटी और दाखरस, तथा मेथी का साग, अंतिम भोज में खिलाया उसने उन्हें ऐसा ही करने की आज्ञा दी। इसी कारण जब भी विश्वासी एक साथ मिलते थे तो वे एक साथ भोजन अवश्य करते थे (1 कुरिन्थियों 11ः 20-23; प्रेरितों के काम 20ः 7)। जब प्रभु दरवाजे को खटखटाते हैं और यदि आप दरवाजा खोलें, तो वे भीतर आकर आपके और आपके परिवार के साथ भोजन करेंगे। उन्होंने अपने चेलों को निर्देष दिया कि जब वे प्रचार करने जांए, तो वे ‘शान्ति के मनुष्य के घर पर ठहरे’ और भोजन करें। (लूका 10ः 7-8)

एक साथ भोजन करना सहभागिता, प्रेम और एकता का शक्तिशाली संदेश है विशेषकर हमारे समाज में जो कि जाति, रंग और सामाजिक स्तर पर विभाजित है। मुस्लिम अपने विश्वव्यापी भाईचारे का दावा करते हैं क्योंकि वे सब एक ही थाला में खाना खाते हैं। जहाँ तक सम्भव हो, एक साथ इकट्ठे हो कर प्रति दिन प्रार्थना करें, धर्मशास्त्र की खोज करें, और भोजन की सहभागिता करें। हमें अपने सांसारिक और आत्मिक आशीषों को बांटना चाहियें। इस प्रकार परमेश्वर तेजी से नये विश्वासी जोड़ेगा, और कलीसिया बढ़ेगी और फलवन्त होगी। (प्रेरितों के काम 2ः 42-47)

लक्ष्य बड़ा है, अपने देश को बदलने की प्रार्थना करें: परमेश्वर ने प्रतिज्ञा किया है कि यदि मेरी प्रजा के लोग जो मेरे कहलाते हैं, दीन होकर प्रार्थना करें और मेरे दर्शन के खोजी होकर अपनी बुरी चाल से फिरें, तो मैं स्वर्ग से सुनकर उनके पाप क्षमा करूंगा, और उनके देश के चंगा कर दूंगा। यह हमारे लिये एक तुरही की आवाज है कि अपने देश को अपनी मध्यस्थता से बदल डालें। चूंकि लक्ष्य बड़ा हैं, इसलिए हमें छोटे दर्शन के लिये प्रार्थना नहीं करना चाहिए। जैसे जैसे आप आगे बढ़ते हैं, वैसे वैसे परमेश्वर आपके देश को बदलने हेतु अपनी रणनीति प्रगट करेगा। (निर्गमन 23ः 30)

हमें पवित्रात्मा, आत्माएं बचाने दी गई है: यीशु ने हमें आश्वासन दिया है कि यदि हम मांगें, तो हम पवित्र आत्मा पाएंगे (लूका 11ः 13)। पवित्रात्मा हमें सामर्थ देता है कि हम पृथ्वी के छोर तक उसके गवाह बनें। वह हम पर प्रगट करता है कि अन्य जातियां उद्धार पाएं (इफिसियों 3ः 5-6)। पिन्तेकुस्त के दिन, 120 लोगों का अभिषेक हुआ, और उन्होंने शीघ्र 3,000 लोगों को ‘‘शुद्धिकरण का स्नान’’ दिया। इसी प्रकार, ‘‘प्रेरितों के काम’’ में, जब भी पवित्रात्मा आया तब, चिन्ह, चमत्कार, जल संस्कार, आज्ञाकारी होना, और राज्य के फैलाव का काम हुआ।(प्रेरितों के काम 6ः 6-7; 10ः 44-48, 13ः 3, 19ः 6-10)

आत्मा को जांचों और परखों: बहुत से प्रतिभाशाली परन्तु झूठे प्रेरित और भविष्यवक्ता कलीसिया में घुस आए हैं। यदि शैतान अपने स्वयं को एक ज्योति के दूत में रूपान्तर कर सकता हैं, तो यह कोई बड़ी बात नहीं हैं कि उसके सेवक भी स्वयं को धार्मिकता के सेवक में रूपान्तरण कर सकते हैं जिनका अन्त उनके कामों के अनुसार होगा (2 कुरिन्थियों 11ः 14-15)। यदि आपके चर्च में भटके हुओं के लिये बोझ नहीं है तब आत्मा को जांचे, क्योंकि दूसरे प्रकार की आत्मा और दूसरे प्रकार का सुसमाचार आपके चर्च में कार्य कर रहा है (2 कुरिन्थियों 11ः 3-4) यदि आपने सच में पवित्रात्मा का वरदान पाया है तो आप व्यर्थ के कार्यक्रमों में व्यस्त नहीं रहेंगे परन्तु खोई हुई आत्माओं को बचाने में प्रतिदिन व्यस्त हो जांएगे।(प्रेरितों के काम 2ः 46-47)

प्रत्येक रविवार एक सुन्दर स्तुति और आराधना का कोई औचित्य नहीं है यदि सप्ताह भर प्रभु की इच्छा के अनुसार आत्मा बचाने का काम न करें। इसका अर्थ है कि रविवार को श्री एवं श्रीमती हल्लिलूय्याह और बाकी दिनों में श्री और श्रीमती सांसारिक बन जांए।

सम्पूर्ण देह को प्रार्थना करना चाहिये: जब पतरस जेल में था तब कलीसिया के पास पतरस के लिये प्रार्थना करने को छोड़ और कोई कार्यक्रम नहीं था जिसका परिणाम पतरस की अलौकिक रिहाई थी (प्रेरितों के काम 12ः 5)। प्रार्थना करना यह केवल पास्टर या कुछ शीर्ष मसीहियों का काम नहीं हैं परन्तु मसीह की देह के सभी अंगों को प्रभावशाली काम हेतु एक जुट होकर करने का हैं, ताकि कलीसिया की बढ़ती हो (इफिसियों 4ः 16)। यदि कलीसिया का कोई अंग काम नहीं करता, तो वह एक अपंग देह है। यदि कलीसिया एक साथ प्रार्थना नहीं करती तो वह विकलांग है। यह अनिवार्य है कि हर एक जन भाग ले, अन्यथा प्रार्थना एकमत की नहीं होगी। एक विभाजित घर खड़ा नहीं रह सकता (मत्ती 12ः 25)। इसलिये चर्च चाहे जितना बड़ा या चाहे जितना छोटा हो उसे एक साथ कार्य करना चाहिये। एक गृह कलीसिया एक मत होकर प्रार्थना करने के लिये आदर्श जगह है। (प्रेरितों के काम 4ः 24, 31)

सावधान: शैतान अत्यन्त चतुर है: उसे छलने का हजारों साल का अनुभव है। वह यहूदा इस्करियोती में समा गया जिसने प्रभु को तीस रूपट्टी में बेच कर विश्वासघात किया। आज भी इसाई लोग यही कर रहे हैं। अधिकांश मसीहियों को उसने नुक्ता नीची, चरित्र हत्या, लोभ, लालच, कोर्ट-कचहरी में फंसा कर डरपोंक बना दिया है जिससे वे संसार से समझौता करके चलते हैं और प्रभु के कार्य के लिये निकम्मे हो जाते हैं। अधिकांश मसीही अन्य जातियों के लिये आज ठोकर का कारण हैं। सक्रिय विश्वासियों को शैतान ने कलीसिया के व्यर्थ के कार्यक्रम में फंसा कर कुएं का मंेढक बना दिया है। बाकी त्यौहारीलाल, इतवारीलाल ईसाइयों तथा ढोंगी जोगियों को पवन में उड़ाने के लिये भूंसी बना दिया है जिन्हें छत्तिसगढ़ के दिलीप सिंह जुदेव जैसे लोग ‘‘घर वापसीकरण’’ के नाम से इकट्ठा कर रहे हैं (2 कुरिन्थियों 11ः 5-6)। 

परन्तु शहीद होने के लिए तैयार मध्यस्थ के विरूद्ध एक नहीं पर हजारों जुदेवों का त्रिशूल समेत कोई भी हथियार सफल नहीं हो सकता। (यशायाह 54ः 17)

यीशु सिद्ध मध्यस्थ: प्रभु यीशु मसीह, जगत की उत्पत्ति से हमारे पापों के लिये मेम्ने के रूप में मारा गया था (प्रकाशितवाक्य 13ः 8)। जब वह अपराधियों के साथ गिना गया उसने पापियों के लिये मध्यस्थता की और बलिदान भी हो गया (यशायह 53ः 12)। अपने शरीर के दिनों में प्रार्थनाएं और निवेदन जोर से रोकर, और आंसुओं के साथ भेट चढ़ाई थी। अन्त में क्रूस पर उसकी मध्यस्थता के द्वारा, उसने खुल्ला शैतान के कामों का नाश किया। तब से वह स्वर्ग में, पिता के दाहिने हाथ पर दो हजार वर्षो से निरंतर मध्यस्थता कर रहे हैं (इब्रानियों 5ः 7; 7ः 25)

प्रभु यीशु हमारे आदर्श मध्यस्थ:-

पहिचान: प्रथमः प्रभु यीशु ने पूरी तरह से पापियों के साथ हमदर्दी दिखाई।

घोर व्यथा: दूसरा: उसने उनके लिये आंसुओं के साथ घोर व्यथा सही।

अधिकार लेना: तीसरा: न केवल उसने मध्यस्थता की परन्तु उसने अधिकार लेकर व्यवस्थित रूप से शैतान के जुएं को तोड़ कर लोगों को छुड़ाया।

प्रक्रिया को पूरा करना: अंत में, वह निरंतर मध्यस्थता कर रहा है, जब तक कि वे परमेश्वर के राज्य में प्रवेश न करें। यह सच्ची मध्यस्थता है।

चेतावनी: आराधनालय से ही दण्ड आरम्भ होगा -

केवल वही जो दूसरो के लिये विलाप करेगा, राज्य में प्रवेश करंेगे, जबकि शेष निर्दयता से नाश कर दिये जाएंगे। याद रखिये, मंदिर से ही विनाश आरम्भ होगा। (यहेजकेल 9ः 3-6)

End Vision: True prayer is to know the will of the Father and to ask for the resources to do it. (Luke 22: 41, 42; 1 John 5: 14). The will of God the Father is that none should perish but all mankind should be saved and come to know the truth (1 Timothy 2: 1-4). It is His desire that His kingdom come and His will be done in our hearts, homes, cities and countries. This is the main theme of the Lord’s Prayer. God’s ‘end vision’ is that people of all nations, tribes, languages and people groups may stand before His throne and have the opportunity to worship their Creator. Only wet eyes, bended knees and broken hearts can change the world. (Revelations 7: 9, 10)

Redemptive Prayers Are Result Oriented:

The Old Testament prophets were all great men of focused prayer. 

Abraham prayed and barrenness was healed from the family of Abimelech. (Genesis 20: 17, 18)

Moses prayed with hands raised and Joshua won the battle with the Amalekites. (Exodus 17: 8-16)

Nehemiah repented for the sins of his forefathers and broke ancestral curses. He built the seven-kilometer long wall of Jerusalem in 52 days.(Nehemiah 1: 4-7)

Daniel prayed and God revealed to him the dream of a gentile king that a small stone (the Church) will smash all the demonic kingdoms of the world, grow and fill the earth with the gospel. He again fasted and prayed and started a battle in the heavenly places and the angels of God soundly defeated the angels of the devil, the prince of the power of the air. (Daniel 2: 44, 45, 10: 13; 20; Ephesians 2: 2)

Elijah prayed and the heavens shut up for 3 years. When he prayed again, the fire came down from heaven, destroyed 400 priests of Baal. The sky poured out rains and the earth produced its fruit. (James 5: 17)

Even in the New Testament times the disciples prayed together with one accord and the Holy Spirit came as tongues of fire on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2: 1-4). They prayed again and the whole place was shaken and they spoke the word of God with boldness. (Acts 4: 31)

Exemplary Prayers: 

There are many exhortations and examples of different kinds of prayers in the Bible. Supplications, prayers, intercessions and giving of thanks for rulers and those in authority (1 Timothy 2: 1, 2); Prayer for your city (Jeremiah 29: 7); Spiritual warfare prayer (Ephesians 6: 10-18); Prayer and fasting for guidance (Daniel 9: 2, 3); Prayer with tears (Jeremiah 9: 1); Prayer for reaping harvest (Psalm 126: 5, 6); Prayer without ceasing (Ephesians 6: 18; 1 Thessalonians 5: 17); Effective prayer (James 5: 16); Result oriented prayer (Luke 18: 1-8); Prayer for signs and miracles (Acts 4: 30); Prayer at the time of persecution (Acts 4: 21- 31); Prayer for raising the dead (Acts 9: 40); Praise and worship. (Psalm 100: 4, 5)

The Church is Anti-Labor: 

The church stands accused as ‘Anti Labor’. It has millions of laborers who have been rendered useless by dubbing them as ‘laymen’. While the Lord is asking for laborers, the church is preoccupied with leaders. He has compassion on those who labor and are heavy laden and hence commanded us to pray specifically to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest fields (Matthew 9: 37, 38). But the church has no compassion for the lost and keeps sending highly qualified leaders to the mission compounds, where there is no harvest. Today millions of laborers are needed to redeem a large harvest of souls in our country. It is the job description of every believer to be a laborer in the Lord’s vineyard, only then can the whole nation be reaped. We have been ‘chosen to bear abundant fruit that remains’. 

Abundant Sowing - Abundant Harvest: 

It is the business of the church to focus on equipping every believer as a laborer. We have been chosen to be fruitful (John 15: 16). Abundant sowing of the Gospel will result in abundant harvest only when it is bathed in prayer (2 Corinthians 9: 6). We can already see that as more and more people are praying, a large harvest has already started coming in, especially in the developing nations of Asia, Africa and South America and even in the Muslim world. 

Goat Prayer: - We have been saved to pray and take care of the least and lost of this world. Sadly many Christians pray, “for me, my dear ones, my job, my needs and of course my sweet sleep.” This me me me, like the bleating of a goat, is a very selfish prayer. When the angels come to reap the harvest, the goats will be consigned to hell. (Matthew 25: 31-46)

Pray, Proclaim, Possess and Rule: 

You are a prophet, priest and king and not just a laymen. Every prophet and priest is an intercessor. God has appointed us a watchman to guard our city against all demonic activity (Isaiah 62: 6-12) because God does not want that any one should perish but all should have an opportunity to repent (2 Peter 3: 9). Lord Jesus is building His church and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it. (Matthew 16: 18)

It is the business of the church to demolish all strongholds and establish His kingdom. It takes only two or three to gather in His name and demolish the strongholds because Lord Himself is the great demolisher (Matthew 18: 18-20; 1 John 3: 8). That is why God has asked us to pray and possess nations and the land because they will be our everlasting heritage (Psalm 2: 8). He is the King of kings and through His blood He has made us kings and we must rule on His behalf. (Revelations 5: 10, Romans 5: 17)

Be a Great Commissioner: 

The Lord Jesus Christ came into the world to seek and save the lost sheep (Matt 18: 11-14; Luke 19: 10). Even as He was being taken up He said, “You shall be My witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1: 8). He gave the Great Commission to go and make disciples of all nations. (Matt 28: 18-20). He said that the end will come when this Commission is fulfilled (Matthew 24: 14). Jesus Christ will then return for our judgment. Our salvation depends on our faith and our judgment depends on our works. (Ephesians.2: 8-10; James 2: 14-20)

Sure Way to Stand Before the Throne: 

If you do not have everlasting inheritance i.e. saved souls, then you should immediately get busy investing all your time, gifts and your wealth in fulfilling the Great Commission. This way you will be able to stand boldly before the throne and praise God along with your group of believers, the fruit of your labor. When every believer becomes a soul winner then only every tribe, race, language and nation will be able to stand before the throne of God. (Revelations 5: 9, 10)

Train and Multiply Prayer Warriors and Win the Battle: -

At the very outset of His ministry, Lord Jesus announced, ‘Repent for the kingdom of God is near.’ At His first encounter with the disciples He told them that He would make them ‘fishers of men’. One of the first things He taught them was the Lord’s Prayer. Let us not forget that first of all we are fishers of men and our business is to bring people to repentance. No one can catch ‘fish’ without prayers and no ‘fish’ will repent without prayers. This is the only way a vast army of fishers of men can be prepared who will in turn bring others to repentance and His kingdom will come. Therefore it is the responsibility of every believer not only to be an intercessor but also to reproduce and multiply many fishers of men. God’s kingdom will advance only as fast as the number of fishers of men will grow. 

Eat, Meet and Multiply:

Eating meals together is a very important aspect of the church because it is the body of Christ and it needs both physical and spiritual food to stay healthy. Eating was a very important part of the ministry of Jesus. He fed the multitudes, ate in people’s homes and sometimes invited Himself to the houses of sinners and tax collectors. He was even accused of being a glutton and a winebibber (Luke 7: 34). He fed roast lamb, bread, wine and bitter herb for the Last Supper. He commanded them to do the same. Accordingly whenever they met, they also ate (1 Corinthians 11: 20; Acts 20: 7). He says that when He knocks on the door and if you will open it then He will come in and will have supper with you and your household. He instructed His disciples that when they go to preach, they must stay in the house of the ‘person of peace’ and eat. (Luke 10: 7, 8). 

Eating together is of strategic importance because table fellowship is a very powerful message of love and unity especially in our caste, color and status ridden society. Muslims claim their universal brotherhood from the fact that they eat from the same platter. As far as possible, gather frequently, in order to pray, search the Scriptures and have simple fellowship meals. We should share both our material and spiritual blessings. This way the Lord will add new believers and the church will grow and multiply. This is truly the Holy Communion. (Acts 2: 42-47)

The Stakes are High; Pray to Change Your Nation: 

God has promised, “If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves, and pray seeking My face, and turn from their wicked ways then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land.” This is a clarion call for us to change our nation by our intercession. As the stakes are high, we should not pray for less. As you persevere, little by little the Lord will reveal to you His strategy for transforming your nation. (Exodus 23: 30) 

The Holy Spirit is Given to Us to Save Souls: 

Jesus has assured us that if we ask we will receive the Holy Spirit (Luke 11: 13). The Holy Spirit empowers us to be His witnesses to the ends of the earth. He reveals to us, that the gentiles should be saved (Ephesians 3: 5, 6). On the day of Pentecost 120 people were anointed and they immediately baptized 3,000 people. In the same manner throughout the Acts of the Apostles, whenever the Holy Spirit was received, signs, miracles, baptisms, multiplication and expansion of the kingdom took place. (Acts 6: 6, 7, 10: 44-48, 13: 3, 19: 6-10)

Test the Spirit and Check the Brand: 

Many brilliant but false apostles and prophets have infiltrated the church. If Satan can transform himself into an angel of light, it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness whose end will be according to their works (2 Corinthians 11: 14, 15). If the church has no burden for the unreached then test the spirit because, ‘another kind of spirit and another kind of gospel’ may be operating in your church (2 Cor 11: 3, 4). If you have truly received the gift of the Holy Spirit then you will not only be talking in tongues on Sundays but will also be busy talking to the Gentiles every day (1 Cor. 14:24-26). It is of no use having a wonderful praise and worship service every Sunday and then not doing His will, the rest of the week. It amounts to being Mr. & Ms. Hallelujah on Sundays and Mr. & Ms. Secular on weekdays.

The Whole Body must Pray: 

When Peter was in jail, the church had no agenda other than to pray for Peter. The result- a supernatural release of Peter (Acts 12: 5). It is not the function of the clergy alone or some super Christians to pray, but every part of the whole body must be joined and knit together for effective working so that the church can grow and be edified (Ephesians 4: 16). If part of the Church does not function then it a disabled body. If most of the church does not pray together then it is a cripple. It is mandatory for everyone to participate otherwise the prayers will not be of ‘one accord’. A house divided cannot stand (Matthew 12: 25). Therefore keep the church only as big or as small, as it can function together. A house church is an ideal place for praying ‘with one accord’. (Acts 4: 24, 31)

Beware: The Devil is a Smart Guy 

Your adversary the Devil is very smart and has had over 6000 years of experience in deceiving people. He has the audacity to accuse you right in front of the throne. He can even interfere when you are fasting and praying. However, never consider yourself unworthy to pray even though you are “not trained in speech” (2 Corinthians 11: 5, 6). None of us really knows what to pray and how to pray but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings, which cannot be uttered (Romans 8: 26, 27). We have complete assurance that no weapon formed against an intercessor can prosper..(Isaiah 54: 17)

Jesus the Perfect Intercessor:

The Lord Jesus Christ is the lamb slain for our sins from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13: 8). He identified Himself completely with the sinners when He was numbered with the transgressors. He interceded and died for them (Isaiah 53: 12). In the days of His flesh, He offered up both prayers and supplications with loud crying and tears. Finally, through His intercession on the cross, He openly disarmed the devil. Since then He has been interceding non-stop in heaven at the right hand of the Father, for the past two thousand years (Hebrews 5: 7; 7: 25) 

The True Intercessor: 

Identification: Firstly Jesus identified himself totally with the sins of people. 

Agonizing: Secondly he agonized for them with tears.

Taking Authority: thirdly he not only interceded but also took authority and systematically destroyed every yoke of the Satan to release people. 

It is a Process: Finally he continues to intercede until they have an inheritance in the kingdom of God. This is true intercession. 

Warning: The Punishment Starts at the Sanctuary: 

Only those who cry and sigh for others will enter the Kingdom while the rest will be mercilessly destroyed. Do not be deceived, the destruction starts at the sanctuary. (Ezekiel 9: 3-6)
