God’s will and purposes

1. God is purpose oriented. There is nothing casual or haphazard about Him. He works according to plan, with eternal consequences. Hence, it is important to know His perfect will and resonate with it. (Isa.14:24; Rom. 12:2)

2. God’s will is that all should enjoy eternal fellowship with Him. He does not live in sacred buildings. We are His temple and His priests. He wants incense (prayer) and pure offering (broken and contrite hearts) to be offered in every bamboo hut and shanty town. He is not interested in religion and rituals but in relationships. (Acts 7:48,49; Eph. 2:19-22; Mal. 1:11; Amos 5:21; Rev. 3:20; 8:3,4)

3. God gave Adam authority to subdue the earth and rule over it. The Devil usurped that authority due to disobedience and is now ruling as the ‘god of this world’. He has subjugated the people by ‘blinding the eyes of  their minds’ by keeping them busy in their worldly affairs, so that they have no time for their Creator and Saviour.(Gen.1:26-28;2 Cor.4:4;1John5:18,19) 

4. However, God’s purposes can never be defeated. “Many are plans of man’s heart but it is the Lord’s purposes that stand” (Prov. 19:21). Yeshua broke the monopoly of the Wicked one to reconcile the whole creation, so as to fulfill God’s purposes. (Col. 1:16-20; 1John 5:18,19)

5. Yeshua was totally oriented to the Father’s will. He said, ‘I have come to fulfill My Father’s will”. He further said, ‘My food is to do His will’. He drank the bitter cup of death, to fulfill the Father’s will and is now interceding for us. (John 6:38;4:34;5:30; Mat. 26:39; Heb. 7:25)

6. He is building His church, with sons and daughters, kings, apostles, prophets, saints and ambassadors, whether literate or non-literate; but no reverends and no laymen. We are His temple and His priests. Men, women and children, together, we are a kingdom of priests and a holy nation, chosen to declare his glory among the nations. (Matt.16:18; Eph.2:19-22; Exo.19:6; Joel 2:28,29)

7. Whether you know it or not, there is a fierce battle raging for the souls of men. Whether you feel like it or not, according to the scriptures, you are the sons and daughters of God with authority to wage war against the invisible demonic powers, break every yoke and lose those in bondage. You have this authority by His Name, His Word, His Blood and Your Testimony. (2Cor.10:3-5; Jn.1:12; Matt. 12:29; Mark 16:17; Eph. 6:17; Rev. 12:11)

8. Heaven is the erroneous eternal destination of most Christians, Hindus, Muslims and Buddhists. Life on earth is hell,so let us get the hell out of here and go to heaven. At every funeral the pastor states that the deceased person has gone to heaven to live with God for eternity. In actuality, the Bible never states that Christians are going to heaven! It always indicates that the earth will be restored as Paradise with the Tree of Life in its midst and the Tabernacle of God will be among His people. (Rev. 2:7,26;  21:2,3, 17; John 3:13; Matt. 5:5; Luke 17:21)

9. The kingdom is where Yeshua is; in our midst. It is both incarnational as well as geographical. He incarnates within us and we extend it geographically. When the process is complete, He will then return to reward overcomers who have obeyed his commands. (Rev. 22:5; 12,14)
