IMITATE ME AS I IMITATE CHRIST (1Cor. 11:1; Phil. 4:9; 2Tim. 2:2)

  • Yeshua taught in the Synagogues on Sabbath and preached in the market place during the week. (Matt. 4:23; 9:35)  
  • Paul taught in the synagogues on Sabbaths and preached with mighty signs and miracles to the Gentiles during the weekdays in the market place. (Acts 17:17; 19:8-12) 
  • Jesus made disciples. Mark 3:13-15
  • Paul set up a discipleship training chain. 2Tim. 2:2
  • Yeshua came with clear end vision to preach the Kingdom of God to the ends of the earth and to carry the sins of the world by dying on the cross. (Matt, 24:14; Luke 4:43; John 1:29)
  • Paul did not punch in the air or run aimlessly but to preach the Kingdom of God from Jerusalem to the ends of the earth and to died doing so. (1Cor. 9:26; Rom. 15:19-24) 
  • Yeshua died on the cross to break the middle wall of separation between Jews and Gentiles. (Eph. 2:14; Gal. 3:28)
  • Paul spent his life breaking the middle wall of separation between Jews and Gentiles. (Acts 28:28; Eph. 2:19,20)
  • Yeshua did not baptize but his disciples did. (John 4:1)
  • Paul did not baptize but his disciples did. (1 Cor. 1:15-17)
  • Yeshua suffered inhuman persecution. (Isa. 52:14)
  • Paul suffered inhuman persecution. (2Tim. 3:11)
  • Yeshua lived a very simple lifestyle. (Luke 9:25)
  • Paul lived a very simple lifestyle. (1Thes. 4:11)
  • Jesus set up a very simple reproducible model of his church – breaking bread from house to house and sharing the gospel. (Luke 19:1-9)
  • Paul broke bread from house to house and shared the gospel at every opportunity. (Acts 20:7,20)
